November 13th Book Club

VeitFoodSeriesF2.inddShow your stripes and your stars through your dish this month, as Shirley hosts a Civil War theme supper club, providing a perfect backdrop to discuss “Liar, Temptress, Soldier, Spy”.
After some homework Shirley has selected a  Rebel themed main course of cabbage soup accompanied by corn pones. She encourages you to use your imagination to put together sides and a dessert to go with the theme. Here are a few resources she sent:

You may note liquor was strictly rationed during the Civl War, but I am sure the law-bending heroines from our book wouldn’t frown upon a couple bottles of wine!
